Bio:
Miranda first started on the pub crawl after she hit Eric, our fearless leader, with a sword. Lured in with the promise of history, booze and books, she has been a guide on the Greenwich Village Pub Crawl since 2007. When studying up on the authors on the tour she decided to go in order of the script and so started with Anais Nin, leading to some awkward conversations on the NYC subways. She started with the Brooklyn Heights tour in 2014 and has been enjoying discovering new information about her home borough. Miranda is a born-and-bred Brooklynite who is a historical cloth-making instructor, singer and actor, stage combat choreographer, and event coordinator, with a Medieval History Masters focused on the weaving laws and technology of England. And that is only what she does in her spare time. She has worked with numerous New York historical sites giving workshops on Colonial textiles, including spinning, felting, weaving and dyeing. She is passionate about creating intellectually stimulating and exciting conversations between the public and sites in innovative, hands-on ways. She is also a book addict, with yearly fines of over $30 for overdue library books and a database system for her over 3,000 books sorted by Library of Congress.
